ONE STEP to MALDI™ Affinity Arrays

Current methods of preparing protein samples for MALDI-MS can require several time-consuming procedures, such as fractionation and sample cleanup. Not only do these steps increase the cost and complexity of performing MALDI-MS analysis, but each step is also a potential source of error. Alternative methods have been introduced that attempt to reduce or eliminate some of the procedural complexity by allowing such techniques as desalting, concentration, and/or enrichment to be carried out directly on the MALDI target.

RECEPTORS' ONE STEP to MALDI™ Affinity Arrays aim to bring the utility of this strategy to the next level. By integrating our WINDOWS into the PROTEOME™ protein fractionation technology with a MALDI target, we are able to create an array of discrete protein fractions in a single preparation step. This approach allows us to display targeted fractions of a complex protein sample for MALDI-MS analysis, while maintaining a procedurally simple format.
