RECEPTORS' technology is built on the foundation of its CARA® AFFINITY by DESIGN™ Discovery Platform. This platform technology allows the company to optimize artificial receptors to any application. RECEPTORS' product suite focuses on the application of its DIVERSITY SOLUTIONS™ strategy to the development of a Proteomics Toolkit for high-performance protein isolation and biomarker discovery. The company's products are being developed to address a fundamental roadblock confronting proteomics research and pharmaceutical development: the efficient separation of protein mixtures. RECEPTORS' products produce greater information from precious samples and optimize bioprocessing yields, while also offering ease of use and competitive pricing.
The target markets for RECEPTORS' technology include the bioscience laboratories and pharmaceutical companies that will benefit from efficient, economic and scalable protein fractionation and isolation processes. RECEPTORS' Proteomics Toolkit can be applied to all phases of the pharmaceutical development and production process including: Target Identification to Validation, Lead Identification, Pre-Clinical and Clinical Development, and Product Production and Launch. The primary markets addressed by RECEPTORS' products include Protein Fractionation, Purification, Assays, Diagnostics, and Bioprocessing. Combined, these markets represent more than $1 billion annually and are growing at an average rate of 20%
RECEPTORS LLC was founded in June, 2002 by Robert E. Carlson, Ph.D.; Richard Hoel and Robert M.
